Google Algorithm Updates in September 2016

Looking at various Search tools we use, including Mozcast, it would appear that Google may have updated a core Algorithm on September the 2nd 2016. However there has been nothing officially released by Google at this point.

What is the update?

It would appear that the core search algorithm has been updated, however it's local search that we have noticed a change in. It would appear that the latest update has removed spammy links to local search, which will in turn help users reach the content they require.
